                        Keeper: the male hook part of a casement window lock, mounted on the top stile of the inner sash. Kilowatt-hour (Kwh): electrical usage equal to 1000 watts (1 Kw) over a period of one hour. Knocked-down: unassembled. A pre-manufactured window kit, which must be assembled at the installation site Krypton gas: an inert gas which has reduced heat transfer vs. air. It is used in the space between double or triple-glazed panes for increased energy efficiency.
